commission faq

  • i am currently open for tattoo design commissions as well as painting and illustration commissions.

    for pricing, please see charts below.

  • it depends! tattoo commission turn around will be quicker, while painting and illustration work depends on the size and the medium. i always do a sketch phase as well as a color rough before starting on final pieces, so depending on how long feedback from you will take, you will end up in a different place in my work queue (so do your best to get your feedback in as soon as you can!)

    i’ll do my best to get everything done in a timely manner, but please let me know at the time of the commission if there is a hard deadline for your project (birthday, anniversary, etc.)

  • i am open to (and would absolutely love) feedback during the sketch and color rough phases, however after final deliverables i cannot offer refunds.

pricing

fifty percent is due upon time of commission, second half due after seeing watermarked finals before file transfer or shipping.

 

illustration and painting

illustration and painting commissions are based around medium and size.

when working with me on custom work, you can expect a robust set of sketches to choose from, a refined sketch phase, then a pre-final look at your piece to make any smaller changes. 

traditional —

traditional pieces from 3”x3” to 8”x8” can be expected to fall in a range of $100 - $300. this will vary greatly depending on the style and detail you are interested in.

pieces with any dimension larger than 12” can be expected to be $300+ depending on the style and detail.

final artworks painted on paper will come with a 1/2” - 1” border. canvases are painted in full. you will also need to cover the cost of shipping your piece. this ranges significantly depending on size, shape, and destination. all commissions will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking numbers and insurance.

a 50% non-refundable deposit is due prior to starting the commission process.

tattoo commissions

tattoo commissions are single color and can be done in two different styles, doodle or refined. as this is a beautiful form of permanent work, clients can expect a thorough set of sketch iterations to choose from, after which i will polish the chosen sketch and do final linework.

doodle style tattoo commissions are $70 flat rate.

refined style tattoo commissions start at $110 and will increase with level of detail.
